Declaration of Faith

Our doctrine is grounded solely in the Bible – fourteen core convictions that carry everything we live and proclaim.

We believe the Bible is the Word of God.

"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation."

2 Peter 1:20–21
There is only one God, who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."

Matthew 28:19
Jesus Christ is the only Son of the Father. He was born of the virgin Mary in Bethlehem, was crucified and buried, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven. Today He sits at the right hand of the Father as our advocate.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
All people have become guilty before God. Therefore God commands all people to repent as the condition for the forgiveness of sins.

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out."

Acts 3:19

Through faith in the redemptive work of Jesus, a person is renewed and becomes a citizen of God's kingdom:

"…being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus."

Romans 3:24
Justification, renewal, and new birth are brought about through faith in Jesus Christ.

"…not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

Titus 3:5–7
Sanctification follows the new birth and comes about through faith in Christ and His blood, through the Word of God, and through the Holy Spirit.

"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord."

Hebrews 12:14
A life of purity is God's will.

"…as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation."

1 Peter 1:15
We believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirit, just as the first Christians experienced on the Day of Pentecost.

"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Acts 2:38
Speaking in other tongues, as the Spirit gives utterance, is the initial sign of the baptism in the Spirit.

"…and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

Acts 2:4
Water baptism is by immersion. All believers are baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."

Matthew 28:19
Healing from sickness through the power of God is provided for all people through redemption.

"Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."

James 5:14–16
We celebrate the Lord's Supper in remembrance.

"For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you."

John 13:12–14
We believe in the return of Jesus.

At that time, believers who have died will be raised first and caught up together with the living saints to meet Him in the air. Christ will then reign on earth for a thousand years.

1 Thessalonians 4:15–17
The dead will rise bodily – believers to eternal life, the ungodly to eternal condemnation.

"Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe, in that day."

2 Thessalonians 1:9–10
